Music, for me, is a necessity in life. One verse of a song can evoke so much emotion. Music can make you laugh, cry, dance or turn you bad day into a good one. It brings people for all walks of life together. For me there is no good or bad music because it’s an art and a lot of passion and had work goes in to making it, I just prefer different types of music more than others. I think my love and appreciation of music comes from my parents. You will often hear the likes of the Rolling Stones, Lynard Skinard, Tom Petty or Queen when at my house. I appreciate my parents so much for exposing me to such great music at a young age because for me it doesn’t go out of style. Traveling to New Orleans has become our annual trip as a family mainly because you can’t beat the authentic local music also the food but that’s for a different blog.

I had the honor of being able to see the Rolling Stones this past June when they came to Orlando for their zip code tour. It was a night I will never forget, Mic Jagger even in his 70’s is the best entertainer/performer I have ever seen. It was also special because they are my dads favorite band and to be able to share that with him is something I will cherish for the rest of my life. Music will always be an important part of my life because it gives me so many great memories with family and friends. I’m thankful for what it has done and what it will continue to do for the rest of my life.
