Why TV is important to me

I have yet to meet a person who doesn’t love some sort of show. Whether is SciFi or a old fashioned sit-com, there is definitely a TV show out there for everyone!

Personally, my two favorite genres of TV shows are sitcoms and futuristic-world-ending-must-survive craziness. Sometimes all I feel like watching is Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia and other times all I want to watch is Terra Nova and the 100. There’s not in between, I obsess over it all. I also really enjoy judging the script writing and the acting in every show. I’m not sure if any of you have watched Master of None, but its an awesome show with amazing writing and good acting.

Television is weirdly important to me. I always found that watching a good show was a wonderful way to escape for a small amount of time from the horrors of life, even if its just for a few minutes. I know that many say that its unhealthy to watch TV to escape, but connecting with a particular character and looking forward to next weeks episode is something that I think all of us can relate to. We all need a little escape every once in a while and we all need a break from reality.
