How are the Chiefs doing so far?

During the Chiefs game against the Packers this past Sunday night, the Chiefs started their backup quarterback and suffered a loss for week 8 of the NFL season.

For those of you Kansas City Chiefs fans that may not be up to date with the team, so far this 2019 NFL season, they are 1st in the AFC West. Taking a loss against the Green Bay Packers in Sunday nights game with a score of 31-24, the Chiefs record for the season is 5-3. During week 8 however, the Chiefs had many inactive players: Chris Jones (DL), Frank Clark (DL), Eric Fisher (OL), Andrew Wylie (OL), Kendall Fuller (CB) and Greg Senat (OL). The most critical inactive player was Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs Quarterback. Mahomes suffers from a knee dislocation which happened week 7 against the Broncos.

Due to Mahomes being inactive, the Chiefs started Matt Moore, their backup quarterback, who has filled in for Mahomes for the 3rd time this season. During the game, Moore had 2 passing touchdowns to Travis Kelce and Mecole Hardman. By halftime, the score was 14-17 with the Chiefs leading. The highlight of this game came early in the 4th quarter when Aaron Rodgers, the Packers quarterback, was tackled and threw a perfect ball to Jamaal Williams on his way down. The Packers went on to be victorious in the game.

It is still unsure if Mahomes will be on the field next game. You can root for your team Sunday, November 3rd at 1pm when they take on the Vikings at Arrowhead Stadium.

With the hopes that Mahomes will be clear to play, Chiefs fans remain hopeful for a victory after last weeks loss.
