Floridians don’t have to travel to New Orleans for a fun-filled Mardi Gras experience. Universal Orlando is celebrating their 25th year of bringing the celebration to Central Florida, filled with food, music, and parades for all ages. The French Quarter Courtyard is home to delicious Cajun food like beignets and po’boys. Street performers in elaborate costumes and masks are out and about in the park, giving away colorful beads and ready for the perfect photo-ops. New Orleans jazz bands play nightly. Theme park visitors can even sign up to ride on a float during a nightly parade that’s worthy of Bourbon Street. A concert series is also happening on select Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with a lineup including TLC, Luis Fonsi, and Marshmello. This year is the debut of the Mardi Gras Tribute Store, an immersive merchandise pop-up shop themed after the famous Lafayette Cemetery and filled with masks, t-shirts, and even voodoo keychains. You can experience Mardi Gras at Universal Orlando daily from February 1 through April 2.
